Welcome to the Cayman Rugby Union, founded in 1971 as the Cayman Rugby Football Club, we have been enjoying 35 years of Rugby in the Cayman Islands. In 1997 we joined the International Rugby Board and forever became the Cayman Rugby Union responsible for all branches of Rugby, its development, administration and officiating. Today Rugby is an increasingly large part of the sporting scene in the Cayman islands and indeed throughout the West Indies and North America the two regions that make up our regional body the North American West Indies Rugby Association. The Cayman Islands compete locally and internationally at many age grades and levels and in many competitions. Welcome to our Union, welcome to our Islands. I hope that you enjoy the Rugby as much as we do. Derek Haines, President. |
