The Cayman Rugby Union is the governing body of rugby union football in the Cayman Islands and is a full member of the International Rugby Board and the North American West Indies Rugby Association NAWIRA.
Based in South Sound the union administers and delivers Rugby programs throughgout the Cayman Islands. The Union has three full time employees and a number of part time seasonal employees.
ABOUT THE CAYMAN ISLANDS
The Cayman Islands is located South of Cuba between Mexico and Jamaica. The Islands boast great weather and a wide variety of unique tourist attractions. In combination with a number of competitive rugby teams, the Island has become a popular destination for touring rugby sides. To accomodate these touring sides, the Cayman Rugby Union works closely with the tourist industry to provide package deals.

The Senior Men's Division consists of five teams: the Don Fosters Iguanas RFC, the BPC Buccaneers RFC, The DHL Cayman Storm RFC , the Cayman Surge and the Queensgate PigsTrotters RFC.
The Women's league consits of three teams The Iguanas, Buccaneers and Trotters.
The sevens series involves nine sides competing through five tournaments each summer in the premier and social divisions.
The Cayman Rugby Union also has very healthy and extremely competitive ReMax Old Boys as well as Junior boys and girls development programs at (U4, U6 & U8) age levels all at the South Sound Facility. The Union boasts two national Academies for players under the age of 20 which operate out of the South Sound head quarters, one for The Maples & Calder Academy for sevens and one for fifteen a side version of the game.
The Cayman Islands Youth Divisions have five member sides representing five of the districts within Grand Cayman. These Districts compete at U10, U12, U14 and U16 level and are South Sound, West Bay, Savannah, East End and North Side.

The Diamond Law Associates National Team
This team is selected from the Alex Alexander Cup matches and the Academies and represent the Cayman Islands during international competition, including Caribbean Championship and IRB Rugby World Cup.
The Cable & Wireless National Sevens team.
This team trains as part of the Maples and Calder National Sevens Academy and represents the Cayman Islands as the Cable and Wireless National sevens team in the annual Caribbean championships, the Cable and Wireless Summer series of sevens and the IRB Rugby World Cup of Sevens.
Senior Men
The Senior Men's Teams play in the Waterford Private Residence Club Sponsored Alex Alexander Cup competition to decide who the champion is going to be in any given season. From this competition, National Teams are selected. See the DLA tournament DLA Tournament
Queensgate Pigs Trotters RFC
Originally the Pigs Trotters, this side was formed by the local police, and has had many strong performances over the years, winning the Alex Alexander Trophy many times. Today the side is comprised mostly of non-police players but still boasts a few of the more noteable Policemen on the Island. The rest of the squad is made up from players who have been living on the Island a few years and are considered ex-patriots. Training is Tuesday and Thursday 5:15pm. BPC Buccaneers RFC
This side was originally the new Ex Pats on the Island and of course over time some are no longer new as such. This team continues however to take on most of the new players on the Island. The Buccaneers have also won the Alex Alexander Trophy many times in the past and are looking forward to another good season again this year. Training is Tuesday and Thursday at 5:15pm. Don Fosters Iguanas RFC
This is the local team, all of Cayman Status and winners of the Alex Alexander Trophy in 2000. The Iguanea like the other two sides are strong competitors and have held many championships. The Cayman Storm RFC

ReMax Old Boys - Tarnished Turtles RFC
The over 35 Champagne Division.The Tarnished Turtles train every time there is a visiting side coming in or a tournament to visit. They currently boast about 60 playing members, do not need coaching and all the direction is to the Bar. See the Knackerfest tournament Knackerfest tournament
Senior Women
Playing 7's & 10's with a National 15's for International competition. The domestic league is ten a side with three teams. See Women's 10's league and page Women
Junior Boys and girls- Cayman Junior Rugby Development Fund (CJRDF)
CJRDF was established in 2005 to assist with financing the development programs of the CRFU. These include the In school programs, community programs, national youth team programs and the Academy programs.
The South Sound program caters to U4, U6 & U8 boys and girls at headquarters in South Sound on a Saturday morning, while the community outreach programs sponsored by Maples and Calder cater for U10, U12, U14 & U16. STAFF
Richard 'Grizz' Adams - Technical Director of Rugby.
Richard has thirty-two years of playing and nineteen years professional coaching experience. As a player he has represented the Harlequins Rugby Club and has fourteen international caps for the Cayman Islands including three world cup match appearances. Richard also played club rugby in Canada for over a decade. As a coach he has worked with the national teams of Canada U17, U19, U20 and the national teams of Cayman and Barbados. He has worked in five world cups either as a head coach or set piece consultant . Richard took up the position of Technical Director with Cayman in 2000.
